Description
This is a full-time hybrid Legal Manager role based in Floriana, Malta, with occasional remote work opportunities. The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing legal compliance, preparing legal documents, offering legal consulting services, and managing legal affairs. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, providing legal advice on operational matters, and supporting the organisation with governance and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- · Managing legal affairs and compliance matters.
- · Drafting, reviewing, and preparing contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documents.
- · Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory issues.
- · Supporting governance, operational risk, and compliance strategies.
- · Ensuring the organisation’s activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Skills
- Must-have qualifications:
- · A legal degree and licensure to practice law.
- · Relevant professional experience.
- · Strong expertise in Law and experience in managing legal affairs.
- · Experience in overseeing and shadowing service providers to businesses operating in highly regulated environments.
- · Located in a hiring location.
- Preferred qualifications:
- · Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
- · Experience in Legal Consulting to provide sound advice to internal stakeholders.
- · Thorough understanding of Legal Compliance, including regulations and risk management practices.
- · Prior experience in alternative investment funds or asset management.
