Description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated person who can work under minimum supervision to fulfil the role of an Accounts Executive on a full-time basis. The role requires the selected candidate to operate onsite during office hours for most of the week however flexible/hybrid work arrangements may be discussed.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Posting supplier invoices.
  2. Preparation and posting of sale invoices.
  3. Daily updating of accounts receivables.
  4. Interest calculation and credit statements update
  5. Debtor chasing and courteously liaising with clients and suppliers.
  6. Support with the payment collection process, especially of defaulted borrowers.
  7. Assisting with the preparation of the VAT reporting and related reconciliations.
  8. Working with an external audit team for monthly and quarterly reconciliations along with the year-end financial audit process.
  9. Work with the external audit team and the Finance Manager supporting with large number of transaction stakeholders and provide any necessary information or reports to auditors and fund administrators.
  10. Provide necessary information for NAV calculations.
  11. Support with the management of large amounts of monthly transactions, including payments in and out.
  12. Assist with the preparation of regular and frequent reports on many positions.
  13. Prepare bank payments and answering bank queries as necessary.
  14. Bank postings and reconciliations.
  15. Preparation of accounts reconciliations as necessary.
  16. Assisting in Payroll preparation and salary payments.
  17. Preparation of accounts for other partner companies or serviced companies.
  18. Filing of documentation in an orderly matter.
  19. To undertake any other duties which may be allocated by their line manager within the general scope of the role and appropriate to the grade.

Requirements and Skills

  1. In possession of a diploma in Accounting or is in the initial stages of obtaining certification in ACCA.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite. Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  3. Knowledgeable in accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  4. Organised and self-motivated who is also willing to learn.
  5. Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  6. Highly organised with a can-do attitude.
  7. Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting or finance
