Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Floriana, Malta. The role is responsible for evaluating real estate development opportunities, conducting development feasibility studies, and preparing development models and development management proposals. The Real Estate Development Manager will coordinate planning and permitting activities, oversee external consultants and contractors, and manage project managers, project timelines, budgets, and risks. The role will also include preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and investors, ensuring compliance with applicable local regulations, and collaborating closely with investment, finance, industry experts, and legal teams. The Real Estate Development Manager will support the full development lifecycle, from acquisition through project completion and asset stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
- • Evaluate real estate development opportunities.
- • Conduct development feasibility studies.
- • Prepare real estate development models and development management proposals.
- • Source and analyse comparable data for development costs and property sales.
- • Coordinate planning and permitting activities.
- • Oversee external consultants and contractors.
- • Manage project managers and coordinate project delivery.
- • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and risks.
- • Coordinate planning, design, and construction activities throughout the development process.
- • Prepare reports, presentations, and investment memoranda for internal stakeholders and investors.
- • Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations.
- • Collaborate with investment, finance, industry experts, and legal teams.
- • Build and manage relationships with local authorities, consultants, contractors, and project partners.
- • Support the full real estate development lifecycle from acquisition through completion and asset stabilization.
Requirements and Skills
- • A minimum of three years of real estate experience.
- • Strong skills in real estate development modelling, feasibility analysis, and sourcing comparable data for development costs and sales.
- • Experience in end-to-end real estate development management, including planning, design coordination, and construction oversight.
- • Knowledge of real estate markets and valuation principles.
- • Ability to learn, interpret, and oversee development regulations across EMEA.
- • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • Ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and investment memoranda.
- • Ability to build and manage relationships with local authorities, consultants, contractors, and partners.
- • Prior experience in real estate development, real estate asset management, or private equity real estate.
- • Experience within an international or alternative investments environment would be considered an advantage.
- • An advanced degree or professional certification, such as an MA, RICS, or PMP, would be considered an advantage.
- • High level of initiative, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- • Structured, accountable, and proactive working style.
- • Ability to work on-site in Floriana, Malta.
- • Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, high-performing team environment.
- • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and skills.
